Bringing Families Confidence With
NOURISHED BABIES
about me
I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2021 and a NICU Registered Nurse since 1993. I also worked 8 fabulous summers as a residential camp nurse in The Great Northwoods of Wisconsin. The proud mother of two children, my personal journey included breastfeeding, daily bottle feeding of pumped breast milk, and some formula supplementation due to required, early weaning.
Before even having children of my own, I was drawn to lactation support. As a nurse taking care of hospitalized newborns, I saw firsthand, the healing powers of breast milk and the role that providing breast milk has in comforting their parents.
I have assisted hundreds of parent baby couplets directly breastfeed, optimize their pumping, and properly bottle feed in hospital NICUs, Postpartum , and Labor and Delivery units over the past 3 decades. These last 4 years, specifically, I was employed in the role as in-patient IBCLC and nursing staff and community educator. Newly relocated to Colorado late 2025, I am stepping out and fulfilling my dream, opening The Art of Lactation, supporting families to successfully feed their babies and tailor breast milk solutions that meet their goals.
